Dr. Cooke graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 1971 with a Bachelor of Arts in Pre-Professional Studies. He entered the School of Dentistry at Case Western Reserve University the following fall and was awarded a US Navy Dental Scholarship. Following Graduation, he served three years as a Lieutenant in the United States Dental Corp in Norfolk, Virginia and aboard the USS Dwight D. Eisenhower, CVN 69.
Dr. Cooke returned to Cleveland in 1978 and began his private practice. He was granted a faculty position at the School of Dentistry at Case where he taught from 1978 until 1985. Today, Dr. Cooke maintains a full time private practice in Westlake, Ohio. He is married to Debbie, his wife of 44 years, and has two children; Ben and his wife Amanda, who reside in Avon Lake, and Lindsey and her husband Andrew who live in Bay Village.
Dr. Cooke’s practice is renowned for:

Dr. Cooke has been awarded “life” membership in the American Dental Association. Dr. Cooke has been selected in a vote by his peers as a “Top Dentist” as recognized by Northern Ohio Live magazine. He received this award in 2007, the inaugural year of the magazines recognition, as well as in 2008 and 2009. In 2010, Northern Ohio Live changed hands, and now as Cleveland Magazine, Dr. Cooke has been given the Top Dentist award in 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, and 2019. Dr. Cooke participates in the Case Western Reserve University School of Dental Medicine's Dr. Daniel Verne Mentorship Program. Within that program, he provides personal guidance to third and fourth year dental students in the principles and procedures of the private practice of dentistry.
Dr. Cooke is committed to continuing education of restorative dentistry through substantial hours of post graduate courses and education. Journals consulted regularly include The International Journal of Periodontics and Restorative Dentistry, Journal of Prosthetic Dentistry, and Advanced Esthetics and Interdisciplinary Dentistry.
Dr. Cooke serves as the team dentist for the Cleveland Guardians and the Cleveland Browns!
Dr.Cooke was presented a Cleveland Guardians American League Championship ring by the Guardians director of medical services. This gift was presented for being The Guardians team dentist and providing dental care to players, coaches, and other members of The Guardians family over the past 12 years.
